Welcome to this website whose aim is to inform you on our Forum 's activities. When I was elected as President of the Forum during the third General Conference held in Dakar on 28-29 January 2010, the members of the FAAPPD had shown the confidence they had in my person, I highly appreciated this election. Their confidence makes me assess my new responsabilities.
I would like to assure everybody that I will do my utmost in order to carry on the remarkable work which my predecessor Honorable Khira Lagha Ben Fadel has acheived during her term. Hon. Issa Abbas Ali has been a member of Chad's parliament since June 2002. The same year he became coordinator of the Chadian's Parliamentarians Network for Population and Development and member of the Executive committee of the FAAPPD. In 2009 he was elected first vice-president of the Forum.
Career highlights:
Prior to his parliamentary experience Mr. ALI had been:
- The diplomatic advisor to the Chadian's Head of State in charge of external relations and cooperation (from 2000 to 2001).
- The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chadian Sugar Company (from 1997 to 2000).
- The ambassador of Chad in China, North Korea and Japan from 1984 to 1991.
- The president of the Chadian transition parliament (from 1993 to 1997).
- The ambassador of Chad in Ethiopia, Djibouti, the African Union, the Econonic Commision for Africa (from 1991 to 1993).
- The ambassasdor of Chad in Belgium, Luxembourg, Great Britain, Northern Irland, the Netherland and the European Union Commission
Education
He has studied management in Lille (France) in 1969 and has got a master's degree in public health administration in Rennes (France) in 1971.
